Best Fitness Power Rack with Lat Pulldown and Bench
If you’re looking for a power rack with lat pulldown attachments, Best Fitness has one that also includes a bench. In fact, they have some deals similar to the REP Fitness “All You Need” package, which I happen to think is one of the better deals out there. In this article, I will cover all of Best Fitness Power Rack packages and maybe one of them is what you’re looking for.
Build and Warranty
The power rack in this package is the BFPR100Pr. It’s a decent rack and well constructed with a 14 Gauge 2” x 2” Steel Mainframe with an integrated pullup bar. It’s 83″ H x 45” L x 47” W and has 23 adjustments for the included safeties with 3″ hole spacing. The total weight capacity for the BFPR100Pr is 500lbs which is a little on the low side. The REP Fitness’s PR-1000 power rack has a 700lb capacity and their PR-1100 has a 1000lb weight capacity.
Nevertheless, the BFPR100Pr is still a very capable rack for beginner to intermediate lifters working out at home. It comes with a 3 Year warranty on the frame and 1 year on parts. It’s not a commercial-grade piece of equipment but is designed specifically for home gym use.
Lat Pulldown Attachment
The lat pull-down attachment is plate loaded and not pin selected. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it’s just that there is no option to upgrade it to a selector. I could see how someone would prefer a pin selected machine but at the end of the day, the muscle gets worked the same. It supports 1″ diameter plates, the same you would use on your barbell.
It also has a low row which will allow you to do bicep curls, delt raises, rows, shrugs, and any exercise you want to do on a pulley machine. The more handles and attachments you have, the more exercise variations you can perform.
The included bench is PFID125X, a 7 position ladder-style adjustable bench and one of the better benches I’ve seen in a power rack bundle. The bench comes assembled and folds flat for easy storage. The PFID125X weights only 52lbs and has a maximum weight capacity of 500lbs. It’s a good bench but decline presses are difficult to perform since there is no “under knee” support.
Price & Other Packages
There are other combos that you can purchase if you don’t want the lat pulldown. First, the BFPR100r power rack with lat pulldown package is on sale for $619. However, you can get the BFPR100-PACK1, which includes a power rack with a bench, 200lbs of weight, and a barbell for only $699. It’s a good package but they’ve changed the adjustable bench to one that only goes flat or incline.
The BFPR100-PACK2 package has the same power rack with bench, 300lbs of weight with a barbell, and a plate tree for storage for $899 and the BFPR100P4 package includes the power rack with lat pulldown, adjustable bench, preacher curl attachment, and a leg curl and extension attachment for $849. There are no weights or barbells included with the BFPR100P4 package, but you can add them during checkout.
So there are some decent power-rack packages that include a lat pulldown attachment. I still think the REP “All You Need” package is a better deal and has a better rack but the point of this website is to provide options. People have a tendency to go immediately to Amazon or popular brands and miss out on good deals if they don’t know where to look.
