Budget Power Rack with Weights and Bench
If you’ve determined that you’re ready to start your home gym or garage gym setup, there are some great deals out there worth having a look at. The first of which is a power rack with weights and bench combo. If you’re into strength training, the REP Fitness – “All You need package” is a great place to start.
We know that the cost of a power rack is usually several hundred dollars, and most of the time, it is usually the accessory pieces that put a big dent in your wallet. With this package, you get a power rack with weights and bench, Olympic Barbell, and 175lbs of weight.

REP – All You Need Package
It’s easy to find a cheap rack, but not so easy to find a good deal on a power rack with weights and bench. The team over at REP Fitness put together an “All You Need” package that includes a Power Rack, Bench, Barbell, and 175lbs of weight.
The power rack in this package is the PR-1000 which I’ve covered, or the PR-1050, which is the shorter version. Both power racks have a total weight capacity of 700lbs with options to add a dip and lat pulldown attachment.
The PR-1000 has dual pull-up bars measuring 1.25″ in the front and 2″ in the back. However, if you decide to get the lat-pulldown attachment, the 2″ bar is replaced.
The included barbell is pretty standard. Its 30mm in diameter and weighs 44lbs. It accepts standard 2″ plates and will feel similar to many barbells you’ll find in most gyms. It’s not powerlifting or weightlifting federation standard but will work fine for novice and intermediate lifters.
It has a 700lb weight capacity and is suitable for most compound movements. If you plan on performing Olympic lifts or want a more accurate and durable bar, consider Sabre power bar as an upgrade during checkout.
- 30mm diameter
- Weight: 20 kg (44.1 lbs)
- 700 lb capacity
- 2″ Sleeves for Olympic sized plates
- Bolted sleeve attachment
- 4.75″ center knurl
- Zinc coating – rust resistant
It would have been nice to see an adjustable bench, you’ll have to upgrade to one of their 3100 models to get that functionality. Instead, you get a flat bench made of 11-gauge steel with a weight capacity of 1000lbs.
It’s a very comfortable and stable bench but you’ll want to perform some incline or decline movements at some point.
Specs: Dimensions: 17.5″ high, 47″ long, 12″ wide, 45 lbs
To complete this package, you get 175lbs of iron plates. It’s not a lot of weight, but it’s enough to get you started with a home gym or garage gym setup. Typically, it’s the weights and barbells that cost the most money.
Plate Dimensions (width/diameter)
- 2.5lb – 0.5″/6.25″
- 5lb – 0.75″/7.75″
- 10lb – 1″/9″
- 25lb – 1.5″/10.75″
- 45lb – 1.5″/17.7″
Assuming you don’t purchase any upgrades, you can get this power rack with weights and bench for $596.99 – $612.99 depending on the size of the rack you choose.
The PR-1000 is definitely a “best budget” power rack and designed especially for beginner and intermediate lifters starting a home or garage gym.
