Body Flex Squat Stand
The Body Flex squat stand is a budget-friendly workout station for your home or garage gym. This model allows you to perform the basic compound movements without taking up a lot of space. Priced just under $270, the Body Flex Squat Stand offers a compact and sleek design, integrated pull-up bar, pre-drilled holes for securing, easy adjustability, and weight pegs for storing plates and securing the stand.
What you get
The Body Flex squat stand is 82″ tall when assembled and should fit in most locations just fine. Its full dimensions are 82″ h x 42″ d x 62″ w, giving the user plenty of space to work within the rack while performing any compound movements.
It has a heavy-duty steel construction with a U-shaped frame, and reinforced critical-weld points provide stability. Even so, this model is very light and weighs only 64 lbs. At that weight, this model has a max weight capacity of 300 lb. It isn’t a lot of weight, but it will get the job done for a lot of people.
The Body flex is best suited for those who can’t make it to the gym frequently but need to stay active. It comes with four-floor anchors, safety catches, rubberized feet, as well as two rear weight pegs to store plates. It also accommodates 6 – 7-inch barbells.
As mentioned above, this model is relatively light and has a max weight capacity of 300 lbs. Going beyond the weight limit can be dangerous even if the stand is secured. However, it’s still great for lighter squats, bench presses, overhead presses, and various other compound movements. The pull-up bar is knurled and feels comfortable, and this model doesn’t take up too much space.
If you were looking for something a little more heavy-duty, and with more options, you may want to consider the REP Fitness SR-4050 squat stand although it will run you another couple hundred dollars. However, the Body Flex squat stand is decent squat stand considering its price point.
