LEMFO LEM 10 Android Smartwatch
The LEMFO LEM 10 is a standalone smartwatch running a customized Android 7.11 operating system. The customized version of Android gives the user full access to the Google Play Store and most of a smartphone’s functions in a smartwatch.
LEMFO LEM 10
What you get
The LEMFO LEM 10 has a square 1.88 IPS display running a resolution of 360*320 and shouldn’t be confused with the LEM X. This model takes after the Apple Watch design and is made out of metal and plastic. It features a 2MP camera, rotating crown, and 22mm nylon or two-toned leather removable straps.
Instead of the sim card tray being placed on the back, LEMFO has placed it on the left side, and it requires two screws to be removed to access it. While it’s not a good idea to put the LEM 10 in water, it should be more secure. Of course, the heart-rate monitor remains on the back of the watch. The LEM 10 is slightly heavier than most of the Android smartwatches, weighing in at 90g.
The LEM 10 runs on the MediaTek 6739 processor at 1.25Ghz with a 780mAh battery. Most users will get 2-3 days of battery life on a single charge depending on your usage. As with all full Android smartwatches, excessive push notifications coupled with LTE data can significantly impact battery life.
The LEMFO LEM 10 comes with 3GB of ram and 32GB of internal storage; and, there is also a 1GB/16GB version. Both versions run smoothly, and applications and widgets are responsive. It’s advised you get the 3GB model if you plan on installing very many apps to maintain responsiveness.
LEMFO has gone out of its way to give the LEM 10 an Apple Watch feel by creating an app drawer that looks similar to the Apple Watch and a home screen that resembles the Apple Watch’s complications. However, the LEM10 doesn’t perform exactly like Apple as the “complications” or widgets are for show and don’t launch applications.
Additionally, the rotating crown doesn’t provide any additional functionality. Maybe LEMFO will add new functions in future firmware updates, but right now, the crown is simple a back button and doesn’t scroll through apps or content. Finally, the LEMFO LEM 10 has an IP67 rating, making it safe from sweat and light rain. Submerging it can cause severe damage.
The LEM 10 has a 4G LTE radio unlocked for any GSM carrier. Check the bands below to see if your area supports the bands. In the United States, T-mobile, AT&T, Cricket, and MetroPCS work fine. Bluetooth 4.0 is available for using headphones or sending and receiving files; however, there is no Bluetooth calling with Android 7.1.1 devices due to Google’s restrictions. GPS is also available for use with applications such as Uber, Google Maps, Yelp, etc.
The LEM 10 has fitness activities such as Outdoor Running, Walking, Indoor Running, Bike Riding, and a few others. These apps work well, are easily accessible, and are baked into the widgets. You can also install Google Fit or your fitness app of choice from the Google Play Store.
The WiiWatch 2 app is used to pair with your smartwatch; however, pairing restricts some of the smartwatch’s capabilities. If you’re wearing it and have a different number (sim), you can respond to notifications and SMS. However, if you’re connected to Bluetooth and receive a text on your phone, you can see the message (on the watch), but you can’t reply. To remedy this, you can install the Droid Assistant App.
