LEMFO LEM X
What you get
The LEMFO LEM X has a large 2.03′ IPTS display with a 640*590 resolution. The appeal of LEM X is its simple design, large display, and minimal bezel. This model also goes by the name “DM19”, and it shouldn’t be confused with the LEM 10, a square Android smartwatch with an Apple Watch design.
At launch, the LEM X was one of the heavier watches on the market, weighing 95g and users enjoyed the larger screen, 8MP side-facing camera, and removable bands. Most full Android smartwatches today have removable straps.
The LEMFO LEM X has a heart-rate monitor and charging port on the back. It has a minimal bezel, and you’ll find the 8MP camera on the right side with the power button on the left.
The LEM X is running the MediaTek 6739 processor clocked at 1.25GhZ with a 900mAH battery. The MTK6739 is a low powered CPU utilized in Android 7.1 smartwatches. Its 900mAH battery will get you 1-2 days on average, but this will depend on your usage. Typically, installing many apps with push notifications and using 4G LTE in areas where the signal isn’t reliable will drain the battery quicker.
The LEMFO LEM X has 1GB of ram and 16GB of internal storage, and LEMFO never released a 3GB/32GB model. The apps run fine, and moving through the OS is fluid. Of course, the primary benefit of full Android smartwatches is access to the full Google Play Store. Just keep in mind that not all apps were designed for 2.03″ screens.
However, there is an on-the-fly application adapter to make most applications fit the screen.
Additionally, the LEMFO LEM X has an IP 67 rating, making it safe from light rain and sweat.
The LEMFO LEM X has a 4G LTE radio unlocked for any GSM carrier. Check below to see if your area supports the bands. In the United States, T-mobile, AT&T, Cricket, and MetroPCS work fine. Bluetooth 4.0 is available for using headphones or sending and receiving files; however, there is no Bluetooth calling with Android 7.1.1 devices due to Google’s restrictions. GPS is also available and works excellently with Google Maps, Google Fit, Uber, Yelp, etc.
Android smartwatches come with fitness applications with Outdoor Running, Walking, Indoor Running, Bike Riding, and a few others. You can also install Google Fit or any fitness applications from the PlayStore, but the built-in apps work nicely and are built into the widgets.
The LEMFO LEM X uses the WiiWatch 2 app to pair with your smartwatch, but pairing restricts some of the smartwatch’s capabilities. If you’re wearing it and have a different number (sim), you can respond to SMS and notifications. However, if you’re connected to Bluetooth and receive a text on your phone, you can see the message (on your watch), but you can’t reply. To remedy this, you can install the Droid Assistant App.
LEMFO offers a 60 Day warranty on the LEM X. Please see LEMFO’s shop page for details on returns, shipping, and warranty information.
