Power Rack with Bench and Weights Combo

This is the “All You Need” combo package from REP Fitness which includes a power rack with bench, Olympic barbell, and 175lbs of weights. I’ve searched around the internet for some of the best power rack combo packages, and although I wouldn’t say that the “All You Need” package is the absolute best, its certainly a very good package at a reasonable price.

Power Rack with Bench and Weights

REP – All You Need Package

There are three power racks available in this package, the PR-1000, PR-1050, which is the shorter version of the PR-1000, and the PR-1100. The picture below depicts the PR-1050 which is 72″ tall but the PR-1000 is 83″ tall. The PR-1000 and 1050 both have a total weight capacity of 700lbs with options to add dip and lat pulldown attachments. If you feel that 700lbs isn’t enough weight, you can upgrade to the PR-1100 which has a 1000lb weight capacity and comes in a variety of colors.

The PR-1000 and the PR-1050 both have dual pull-up bars measuring 1.25″ in the front and 2″ in the back. However, I personally like the pull-up bar on the PR-1100 since it offers multi-grip handles and can be assembled upside down if you have low ceilings. It will measure 84″ tall if assembled upright and 82″ if you turn it upside down.

REP PR-1050

Interestingly, if you opt for the lat-pulldown attachment on the PR-1000 and 1050, you lose the 2″ pull-up bar in the back. That doesn’t happen with the PR-1100, and it’s just an all-around better rack, not to mention it’s about $40 cheaper.

The All you need package comes with a standard barbell that is 30mm in diameter and weighs 44lbs. It’s basic but good enough to perform most compound movements for the average lifter. It has a 700lb weight capacity, a basic zinc coating with bolted sleeves. If you plan on performing Olympic lifts, you should upgrade this bar to at least the Sabre barbell or better depending on your level of training.

Rep Basic Barbell

  • 30mm diameter
  • Weight: 20 kg (44 lbs)
  • 700 lb capacity
  • 2″ Sleeves for Olympic sized plates
  • Bolted sleeve attachment
  • 4.75″ center knurl
  • Zinc coating – rust resistant

REP Fitness’s FB-3000 is the bench that comes standard with this package, and depending on your type of training, you may choose to stick with it or upgrade. I’m a bodybuilder so an incline and decline bench is preferable. If you just need a flat bench, the FB-300 is ok. It’s constructed with 11-gauge steel, has a1000lbs weight capacity, and easy to keep clean. It also has various color options.

To complete this package, you get 175lbs of iron plates. It’s not a lot of weight, but it’s enough to get you started. If you upgrade to the mix plate set, it will come with some bumper plates which is preferable if you want your equipment and floors to lasts.

Also, if 175lbs isn’t enough, you can upgrade to their mixed plate 275lb package which is ideal. Even if you’re a beginner, you’re going to quickly outgrow the 175lbs and the upgrade is only a $164 difference.

Plate Dimensions (width/diameter)

  • 2.5lb – 0.5″/6.25″
  • 5lb – 0.75″/7.75″
  • 10lb – 1″/9″
  • 25lb – 1.5″/10.75″
  • 45lb – 1.5″/17.7″

As stated earlier, this is one of the better deals on power rack with bench package I’ve found. If you were to stick with the basics with no upgrades, this package would cost between $596.99 – $612.99 before shipping. The difference in price will depend on if you get the PR-1000, PR-1050, or PR-1100. I don’t see a reason why you wouldn’t get the PR-1100 but you’ll have to use your own discernment.

Even if you upgrade everything, you could still be under $1000 before shipping, which is amazing. It would be difficult to find a quality power rack with an adjustable bench, 275lbs of weight, and a quality Olympic barbell for less than $1000 anywhere else. If you find a good deal on a power rack with bench, barbell, and weights, let me know in the comment section so I can check it out.
