Powerline PPR200X Power Rack Prices
|Price history for Powerline PPR200X Power Rack|
The Powerline PPR200X is a power rack that stands just under 7ft tall at 82-inches, allowing it to fit in most basements or garages that have limited vertical space. Like Best Fitness, the Powerline class is part of Body-Solid, which makes durable, yet, affordable home and garage gym equipment.
The Powerline PPR200X was constructed with 2″x2″ 14-gauge steel, which is common for power racks in this price range. When assembled, the PPR200X weighs 136lbs without addons or attachments. It has a wide walk-in design, allowing you to move freely within the rack, and, it has 18 adjustment levels with 3″ hole spacing. Additionally, the PPR200X has an integrated pull-up bar with a knurled grip.
The Powerline PPR200X includes two heat-tempered lift-offs and 2 sabre style safety rods. With this configuration, the PPR200X has a weight capacity of 600lbs. We’ve seen higher weight capacities in this class at the cost of an additional $150 – $200. On the other hand, the footprint of the PPR200X is 44″x46″ inches, making it comfortable enough to complete just about any movement without taking up very much space.
Because this is a Body-Solid product, the PPR200X has a 10-year in-home warranty on the frame and one year on the parts.
With any power rack, you want to make sure there are some attachments. The Powerline PPR200X power rack has two main add-ons: a lat pulldown and dip bar attachment. The lat pulldown attachment features nylon-coated (2200lb) aircraft quality cables and accepts 1″ diameter plates. The lat pulldown bar and the low row bar is included. With the lat system assembled, the lat bar is 84″ from the floor.
The dip bars are also compatible with the Best Fitness power rack. They have tapered handles and easily adjustable.
The Powerline PPR200X power rack is going to be an excellent rack for those who are first time buyers. You’re not going to set any powerlifting or weightlifting records with it, but that isn’t the kind of lifter it’s intended for. It’s intended for the everyday person who may not be able to make it to the gym and wants a solution at home.
This rack will provide you with a lot of exercise variation including; Back Squats, Front Squats, Deadlifts, OVH Press, Bent of Rows, Pull-Ups, Chin-ups, Dips, Bicep Curls, 1 armed rows with pulley, Good Mornings, Barbell Lunges, Calve Raises, Shrugs, Incline Press, Decline Press, Tricep Kickbacks, Military Press, Glute Kickbacks, etc. This is assuming that you do take advantage of the lat pulldown system, dip bar, and have a barbell and bench.
The Powerline PPR200X and Best Fitness BFPR100 power racks are very similar. After all, they are both under the Body-Solid umbrella. In this comparison we see that the Best Fitness is slightly taller. However, the PPR200X offers a better warranty and withstands a little more weight. So why would you buy the Best Fitness over the Powerline PPR200X?
The Best Fitness BFPR100 comes with free shipping to the lower 48 States. Additionally, the BFPR100 comes with a few different combo packages that includes a bench, weights, preacher curl, leg curl, lat pull-down system, etc. The combo packages obviously cost more, but it’s a great opportunity to fully load your home gym at a discounted price and take advantage of free shipping.
In this comparison, we see the Powerline PP200X vs the Rep Fitness PR-1000, which in my opinion is the better rack in terms of quality and add-ons. The PR-1000 stands 83″ tall but there is also a shorter PR-1050 model that stands 72″ tall. The PR-1000 has a lat attachment, dip attachment, and extended storage add-on. However, if you opt for the shorter PR-1050 version, you cannot use the lat attachment due to its height.
