The PR-1100 is a full-featured commercial grade power rack designed for home gyms. It has a weight capacity of 1000lbs, a multi-grip arched pull-up bar, various attachments, and a price of only $239 making it one of the best budget power rack options on the market.
There are several color options for the PR-1100, but only the black and silver are in stock at this time. If you’re familiar with the PR-1000, you’ll notice that these racks are quite similar. The biggest difference is the multi-grip arched pull-up bar and the 1000lb weight capacity. The optional dip bar, lat pulldown, weight storage, and landmine attachments found for the PR-1000 are also available for the PR-1100.
The PR-1000 has a weight capacity of 1000lbs for the J-hooks, 400lbs for the pull-up bar, 400lb for the dip bar, and 250lbs for the lat pulldown and low row attachments. This is assuming you purchase the addons.
If you like the PR-1000 but wanted something that holds a little more weight, the PR-1100 might be what you’re looking for. The additional weight capacity and the attachments are what turns this power rack into a full gym. Let’s explore them one by one.
The landmine attachment allows you to perform various shoulder and core exercises, but it’s also useful for back workouts. With a Double D row handle, you can use the landmine for T-bar rows which is an excellent exercise for back development. Even without the handle, you could perform one arm rows. The PR-1100 has an optional lat-pulldown and low row attachment, but having the landmine increases the number of exercises available and allows you to target specific areas of the back.
Low Row & Lat Pulldown
The lat pulldown and row attachment allow you to easily add seated lat pulldowns, tricep pushdowns and low rows to your workout routine. It’s also useful for bicep curls and any exercise you would normally do on a pulley machine. Purchasing a Rope, D bar, or V bar handle will increase the number of exercises available to you. You just need a little imagination.
The PR-1100 has the same dip attachment as the PR-1000 which has a weight capacity of 400lbs. Dips are great exercises for putting some mass on your triceps and chest. The dip attachment is also useful for abs although it’s not as comfortable as a roman chair.
The pullup bar on the PR-1100 has a standard pullup bar in the front and a thicker bar in the back. Unlike the pullup bar on the PR-1000, this pull-up bar offers a traditional, neutral, close and wide grip configuration. The pullup bar comes standard with the rack so you don’t have to pay for the upgrade.
The PR-1100 starts at $239, before upgrades, which is cheaper than the PR-1000 and other power racks in its category like the Titan T-2 Squat Rack.
