REP SR-4000 Series Squat Rack
What you get
Rep Fitness recently overhauled their SR-4000 series squat racks just when we thought they couldn’t get any better. This page was dedicated to the higher-end Rep Fitness SR-4050 squat stand that offered 2.5″ x 2.5″ 11-gauge steel frames with a 1000lb max weight capacity. The SR-4050 offered a few option addons but not many.
The new version now comes with more durable 3″ x 3″ 11-gauge steel frames and 5/8″ hardware, giving the SR-4000 series a 1500lb max weight capacity. Also, you have the option of selecting a model that matches your desired height – 83″, 96″, or 103″.
Many of the optional attachments for the PR-4000 series power rack are compatible with the SR-4000 series, including the ISO-arms and Monolift. Finally, the Rep SR-4000 series now has 1-inch hole spacing for more comfortable positioning and addon compatibility.
When assembled, the SR-4000 squat rack weighs 230lbs to 237lbs, depending on the model you select. It’s very stable and doesn’t need bolting unless you’re planning on performing exercises using bands. For all other movements, simply adding weights to pegs is more than enough to ensure the rack is stable.
The REP Fitness SR-4000 series squat rack already measured up well against most squat racks “squat stands” on the market, even those marked as commercial. With the remodel, the SR-4000 series is going to be hard to beat. In many respects, it is a slimmed-down PR-4000.
